do i have herpes?

 My entire life even young I would get cold sores all the time. I had sex with someone about 6 months ago that looking back was a bad decision. Right now I am extremely stressed being in work and school and I have some weird feeling things right in the crack of my leg. they do not hurt really and there is no puss and they do not itch, or burn or really bother me at all except the fact it may be an std. I also have two pretty painful cold sores in my mouth right now. I read that HSV1 could be genital if you have them in your mouth. So basically can this std show up 6-7 months after the fact? Does this sound like it is genital herpes? Can this be less serious because of major stress/no sleep? Could i have got this from kissing someone and the stress made it a much worse case? I know that is a lot of questions but I obviously want to be std free. Thanks.
